Creative expression and DIY crafting are potent tools for well-being. Your brain responds to the magnitude of beauty. Just looking at these colorful beads as it would any piece of art, music, person, or scenery you find pleasing, your mind can evoke feelings and send signals to your brain.
We have a relative in Med School at Harvard and students are encouraged to go to museums and engage in creating whether it be book journaling, jewelry making, beading, painting, knitting, etc. These exercises help you physically and build critical thinking, observation, communication, bias awareness, and empathy skills that “science” can’t provide.
Beading and Knitting these tiny treasures have been very therapeutic, reducing stress and creating satisfaction in my ability to DIY a small art piece and participate in the healing of my injured and arthritic onset hands.
Choose from our 30 bead colors to start creating your vintage beaded purse/brooch kit. Our kits include a back pin to allow you to wear your creation by pinning it on your blazer, cardigan dress, etc. You can securely add whatever you wish medication, a loved one's photo or a keepsake.

Hand therapy is the art and science of evaluating and treating injuries and conditions of the upper extremity (shoulder, arm, elbow, forearm, wrist, and hand).
Knitting and Beading can help distract you from symptoms of stress, anxiety, or depression. It can be therapeutic to have your mind focused on your knit beading product instead of anything else. One more benefit to beading is that it actually prevents arthritis and tendinitis!
